The Folsom Athletic Association honors U.S. Navy (retired), Radarman Third Class, Al Meier
Mr. Meier enlisted in the Navy in 1964 and served aboard the USS Newell DER 322 (Destroyer Escort, Radar picket ship) and USS Berkeley DDG-15 (Guided Missile Destroyer). He participated in two Western Pacific deployments during the Vietnam War.
The U.S. Navy is renowned for being the most powerful and capable naval force in the world, with its stealthy and technologically advanced destroyers leading the fleet.
THANK YOU, Al Meier. Your dedication and commitment to our nation, both during your time in the Navy and beyond, are truly inspiring.

Thank you, Teen Council—your impact is inspiring!
Folsom Teen Council is a passionate group of high school students dedicated to serving their community. Led by a team of student officers, they provide leadership to the council and connect with the community. The council actively participates in the City of Folsom’s special events and supports many local organizations. In 2024, they logged over 2,180 hours of volunteer services.
The FAA has an established partnership with Folsom Teen Council. The council has volunteered for several FAA and youth group events. Last week, the FAA proudly presented a $2,500 check to support their mission.

Fireworks Fundraiser!
Another Fireworks Fundraiser is in the books — and it was a great success!
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Fireworks Committee, led by Dave Benevento, as well as the booth managers, overnight security, youth groups, and all the dedicated volunteers. This event couldn’t have happened without your hard work and commitment!

The sun was shining for this years’ Festival of Eggs! Families enjoyed the pancake breakfast, carnival games and kids activities, and a variety of vendor . It was a great morning to be a Lembi Park.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Folsom Athletic Association’s inaugural Crab Feed Fundraiser a great success. We want to give special recognition to those who helped sponsor the event, bought tickets and tables, or donated auction items. We hope the evening was as memorable for you as it was for us.

The funds raised from this event will directly benefit two of our key programs: Youth Assistance and High School Senior Scholarships. The FAA contributes over $30,000 annually to support Folsom’s youth groups, high school seniors, and the local community. We cannot thank you enough for everything!

Sports Membership Dues
Community Youth Sports Leagues and adult sports are adopted by the FAA Board. Members benefit from the partnership between the City of Folsom, Folsom Cordova Unified School District, the FAA, other sports leagues, local and regional businesses, community members and volunteers. Benefits include priority access to facility scheduling, discounted or waived field and facility rental fees, direct communication with city and school district staff responsible for facility management and maintenance, and support for fundraising efforts.
For 2025, several groups requested the option to pay online or by check. We appreciate your patience as we worked to make this available. Please note that membership dues are now due.

The Folsom Athletic Association is thrilled to announce its first-ever Crab Feed Fundraiser!
Event: Folsom Athletic Association Inaugural Crab Feed Fundraiser

Time: 6.M. to 11 P.M.
Doors open: at 5:30 P.M.
Location: Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma Street in Folsom
All proceeds support our community’s youth through the Youth Assistance Program and High School Senior Scholarships.
The event will be a memorable evening filled with fun and excitement.
