Lois B. Young was an early Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) board member who guided the FAA financially utilizing her professional skill as a public certified accountant.

In recognition of her dedicated community service, FAA provides scholarships to graduating senior athletes at Folsom High School and Vista del Lago High School. Additionally, a School Spirit Award is awarded to one senior for their academic studies combined with school spirit at each school.

Lois B. Young scholarships are funded by the proceeds from the fireworks fundraiser. Up to three scholarships are awarded to Folsom High School and Vista Del Lago graduating seniors.

The Lois B. Young Scholarship is available for a graduating senior from Folsom High School and Vista del Lago High School. Contact the school’s career counselor for application information and deadline dates.
