2021 Folsom’s Veterans Day Parade – Thursday, November 11 at 9 a.m.

  • Start location: E. Bidwell Street and Montrose Drive.
  •  Finish location: Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma Street.
  • Veterans flag ceremony: A brief ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial located in City Lions Park near the parade finish and at the conclusion of the parade.

2020 Folsom Pays Tribute to the Nation’s Veterans – The traditional parade did not take in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Folsom paid tribute to the nation’s veterans with a short video with segments from past years’ parades and interviews with local veterans. Watch the Veterans Day Commemoration on

2020’s Honorary Grand Marshal is Ernie Sheldon. Prior to his many years as a member of the Folsom City Council, Ernie served 33 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a much-decorated lieutenant colonel, with a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and an Air Force Commendation medal with five clusters.

Ernie led the effort to expand Folsom’s Veterans Day Parade, making it one of the largest in the region. He also spearheaded the planning, construction, and design of the city’s Veterans Memorial in City Lions Park.
