Ken Grossfeld Memorial Scholarship
Ken Grossfeld Memorial Scholarship – Ken Grossfeld moved to Folsom with his wife Jennifer and three sons, Brett, Zachary, and Trenton in 1992. Ken focused on his family, his law practice, and his community. He became actively involved with various youth sports, particularly with Youth Little League, the Folsom Athletic Association (FAA), and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Ken served as President of the Folsom American Little League (FALL), represented FALL as the District 54 representative, continued with various board positions, and coached youth for 13 years. He extended his community service by serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the FAA.
Appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission in 2000, Ken contributed his tireless efforts to ensure the efficient development of quality Parks and Recreations within the city. The Ken Grossfeld Memorial Scholarship supports and encourages young people to find positive outlets in their lives, be it sports, music, art, or community service, while fully engaged and excelling in their academic endeavors. Ken passed away at age 53 in 2011. Ken loved Folsom and wanted to continue to have a positive impact on Folsom’s community. His family helped establish this scholarship before his passing.
